Why Graduates Want to Stay in Japan?

By: Jeremy Wilson

It is noticed that a lot of student who came from other countries to study in Japan, after completion of their education decide to stay in this country and find job there.
All this occurs because of various reasons. One of them is the students’ opinion that all the knowledge they got at Japanese educational institutions can be properly used in Japan.
Also they are impressed by wide choice of vacancies which are offered at job market. Today there is a big demand for English translators and interpreters. And Japanese firms prefer to hire employees whose native language is English.
So, in this situation students quickly try to change “student visa” on “employment visa”. Nowadays many students who have graduated from the universities apply for permission to stay at Japan and work at this country. And Japanese authorities and firms try to use such possibility to get perspective employees.
And one more reason is, according to students’ words, the pleasant and friendly attitude of local people to foreigners. And as students say, Japanese culture is very interesting and exciting.
So, as we can see the number of foreigners increases in Japan and at the same time the number of productive working people also increases and Japan takes leading positions in the sphere of manufacturing and production.
